Alex Marie Leather Boots — Premium Women’s Footwear
Our leather boots combine European craftsmanship with modern comfort technology. Each pair is constructed from premium full-grain leather sourced from Italian tanneries, creating a boot that softens and molds to your foot over time while maintaining its structural integrity.

We source our leather exclusively from tanneries in Tuscany and Veneto, regions known for centuries-old leather-working traditions. The full-grain leather we select retains the hide’s natural texture and character, which means each pair of alex marie leather boots develops its own unique patina as you wear them.

Sizing and fit guidance
Our leather boots run true to size in US women’s sizing. If you typically wear a half size and prefer a snug fit, we recommend sizing down; if you plan to wear thicker socks or prefer a roomier toe box, size up.
The shaft circumference measures 14 inches, which accommodates most calf widths comfortably. The side zipper extends from the ankle to just below the calf, giving you flexibility in how the boot sits on your leg. During the first few wears, the leather may feel slightly firm around the ankle — this is normal and the material will relax as it conforms to your foot shape.

Care and maintenance
Leather is a natural material that responds well to regular care. Before wearing your boots for the first time, apply a thin coat of leather conditioner or cream to protect the surface from moisture and salt stains. We recommend conditioning every four to six weeks during regular wear, or monthly if you’re in a wet climate.
For daily cleaning, wipe the boots with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove dust and dirt. Avoid soaking the leather or using harsh chemical cleaners, which can strip the natural oils and cause cracking. If your boots get wet, stuff them with newspaper and let them air dry away from direct heat sources like radiators or hair dryers.

Your questions about Alex Marie leather boots
Our leather boots are water-resistant but not fully waterproof. The Goodyear welt construction creates a seal that prevents water from seeping in through the sole seam during light rain or brief exposure. However, prolonged contact with water can still penetrate the leather upper.
We recommend applying a leather protector spray before your first wear to add an extra layer of moisture resistance. If your boots do get wet, stuff them with newspaper and allow them to air dry naturally away from heat sources.
Alex marie leather boots run true to US women’s sizing. If you wear a size 8 in most brands, order a size 8. If you typically wear a half size, consider whether you prefer a snug or relaxed fit.
For a close fit with thin socks, size down. If you plan to wear thick winter socks or prefer extra room in the toe box, size up to the next full size. The leather will stretch slightly with wear, so a boot that feels snug initially will likely feel more comfortable after a few days.
Yes, both the heel and sole can be replaced by a cobbler. We use Goodyear welt construction, which stitches the upper leather to the sole rather than gluing it. This method allows a cobbler to detach the old sole, re-stitch a new one, and replace the heel stack without damaging the boot upper.
Most customers find they need a heel replacement after one to two years of regular wear, depending on walking surfaces and frequency of use. Replacing the heel costs significantly less than buying new boots and can extend their life by several more years.
Full-grain leather is the top layer of the hide with the natural grain intact. It includes the skin’s original texture, pores, and any natural markings, which makes each boot unique. This type of leather is more durable and develops a rich patina over time as the natural oils interact with wear and conditioning.
Corrected-grain leather has been sanded or buffed to remove imperfections, then embossed with an artificial grain pattern. While it looks uniform, it’s less durable and doesn’t age as gracefully. All alex marie leather boots use full-grain leather for longevity and authentic character.
Most customers report minimal break-in time. The leather may feel slightly firm around the ankle during the first one or two wears, but it softens quickly as it conforms to your foot shape. The memory foam footbed provides immediate cushioning, so you shouldn’t experience the stiffness associated with traditional leather boots.
If you do feel any tightness, wear the boots around your house for short periods over a few days before committing to a full day out. The leather will relax naturally without requiring aggressive stretching or special tools.
We recommend conditioning your boots every four to six weeks during regular wear, or once a month if you wear them daily or live in a climate with harsh winters. Conditioning replaces the natural oils that evaporate over time and keeps the leather supple.
Use a cream or conditioner specifically formulated for smooth leather. Apply a thin, even layer with a soft cloth, let it absorb for 10 to 15 minutes, then buff away any excess. Avoid over-conditioning, which can saturate the leather and make it feel overly soft or floppy.
We offer a 60-day return window for unworn boots in their original packaging. If the fit isn’t right or you’re not satisfied with the style, you can return them for a full refund or exchange them for a different size or color at no additional charge.
Free return shipping is included for all orders within the continental United States. Simply contact our customer service team to initiate a return, and we’ll email you a prepaid shipping label within one business day.
