Alex Marie Blouses — Refined Silhouettes for Every Occasion
Our signature silk blouse combines a softly structured silhouette with a removable silk-satin bow at the neckline. Cut from 100% charmeuse silk, it drapes beautifully without clinging, making it equally at home in boardroom meetings and dinner reservations. The hidden button placket keeps lines clean, while French seams ensure durability wash after wash.

Every Alex Marie blouse begins with fabric selection. We source our silk from Italian mills where charmeuse is woven to our specifications — tightly enough to resist snags, loosely enough to drape without stiffness. Our cotton poplin comes from long-staple Egyptian and Pima cotton, woven at 120 threads per inch for a crisp hand that resists wrinkling through a full workday.

Sizing & Fit Guidance
Alex Marie blouses are designed on a size 6 fit model with a 34C bust, 28-inch waist, and 38-inch hip. Our tailored styles (the Silk Bow and Cotton Poplin) run true to size with a shaped waist and room through the bust. If you typically size up to accommodate a fuller bust, we recommend your usual size — our patterns include ease at the bust and underarm.
The Crepe Wrap runs slightly generous due to the stretch in the fabric and the adjustable side tie; most customers size down if they’re between sizes. Our Linen Shell has a relaxed fit through the body and armholes cut to accommodate most standard bra styles without showing. Detailed measurements for every size are available on each product page.

Styling Across Seasons
Workweek Combinations
The Silk Bow Blouse pairs naturally with tailored trousers and pointed-toe flats for polished meetings. The Cotton Poplin works under blazers or worn open over a fitted tank. The Crepe Wrap tucked into high-waisted trousers creates a streamlined silhouette that translates from desk to dinner.
Weekend & Travel
Our Linen Shell layers under denim jackets or linen cardigans for travel days — it rolls without wrinkling and dries quickly after hand washing. The Poplin Shirt worn untucked over leggings or slim jeans offers effortless weekend style. Many customers pack the Silk Bow for trips because it folds flat, resists wrinkles, and works for both business dinners and sightseeing when paired with dark denim.

Your Questions About Alex Marie Blouses
The Cotton Poplin Shirt and Linen Shell are both machine washable in cold water on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry low or hang to dry, and remove while slightly damp to press with a steam iron. The Crepe Wrap can also be machine washed in a mesh garment bag on delicate, then hung to dry.
The Silk Bow Blouse should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cold water with a pH-neutral detergent, then laid flat to dry. Never wring silk or put it in the dryer. Detailed care instructions are included with every order and printed on the interior care tag.

We control fabric sourcing, pattern development, and construction from start to finish. Our silk comes from Italian mills where we specify the weave density, and our cotton poplin is woven to 120 threads per inch for wrinkle resistance. Every blouse is finished with French seams (raw edges enclosed) and double-turned hems, not serged edges.
We also build in practical details: back pleats for ease of movement, removable collar stays, interior tack stitches on wrap styles, and extra buttons sewn to care tags. These aren’t corner-cutting production pieces — they’re designed to last seasons, not months.
Yes. The Silk Bow Blouse, Cotton Poplin Shirt, and Crepe Wrap are all designed with professional settings in mind. The Silk Bow works for client-facing meetings, presentations, and office environments where polished attire is expected. The Cotton Poplin is a classic white shirt suitable for business formal and business casual dress codes.
The Crepe Wrap pairs well with tailored trousers and blazers for a refined workweek look. The Linen Shell is ideal for summer business casual or creative office environments. All styles are cut to provide appropriate coverage and polished silhouettes.
Currently we offer standard sizing (XS through XXL) with detailed body measurements on each product page. Our standard inseam and torso lengths work for most heights between 5’3″ and 5’9″. We’re developing petite and tall sizing based on customer feedback and expect to introduce those options by late 2025.
In the meantime, many petite customers find our Silk Bow and Crepe Wrap work well because the curved hems are designed to be worn untucked. Taller customers often prefer the Cotton Poplin and Linen Shell because they have slightly longer back hems.
Yes. All orders include a prepaid return label valid for 60 days from delivery. Blouses must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with tags attached. We offer full refunds to your original payment method or free exchanges for a different size or color.
Once we receive your return, refunds are processed within 3-5 business days. Exchanges ship the same day we receive your return. If you have fit questions before ordering, our customer service team is available via email or chat to help you choose the right size.
Store blouses on padded or curved hangers to maintain shoulder shape. Button the top button to prevent collar stretching, especially on the Cotton Poplin and Silk Bow styles. Avoid wire hangers, which can leave creases in silk and create pressure points that distort the fabric over time.
Keep blouses in a cool, dry closet away from direct sunlight, which can fade colors. If you’re storing silk blouses long-term, slip them into breathable garment bags (not plastic) to protect from dust while allowing air circulation. Never store damp or soiled garments — launder or dry clean before putting them away.
